SARS Online Traveller Declaration

All travellers entering or leaving South Africa must complete a SARS Online Traveller Declaration before they travel. Please note:

Complete and submit the declaration no more than 24 hours before departure.
If you are travelling to South Africa on a route with connecting flights, complete it within 24 hours of your final flight to South Africa.

As a delegate, you are responsible for completing your own declaration before travelling to Cape Town.

Alternatively, declarations can be completed using the SARS MobiApp or the South African Traveller Management System (SATMS) app. Full details are available on the SARS website.

Failure to complete the declaration may result in delays at customs on arrival or departure.
We recommend completing the declaration before leaving for the airport to ensure a smooth arrival process.
